EU4Advice (2022-2027)
The EU4Advice-project looks into the multi-actor collaboration dynamics and capacity-building network inside and between Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) to foster the upscaling of Short Food Supply Chains (SFSC) across Europe. The main objective of EU4Advice project is to settle the foundations and structures required to ensure effective capacity building of SFSC actors through fluent knowledge transfer. Applying the principles of the interactive innovation model, EU4Advice project aims to boost the role of advisors as catalysers of the knowledge flow from research to practice, through the creation of an EU network of advisors with knowledge and expertise on SFSC issues, and the implementation of measures towards the effective integration of SFSC advisors into national AKIS.
Common Source manages the EU4Advice Living Lab of Central Europe in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area (AMA), in collaboration with AMS Institute, Province of Flevoland and Wageningen University, and functions as the Master Living Lab, as the lead on governance, dynamisation of advisory and practitioner networks and building a learning ecosystem of advisors and experts through GAIN.
For several years now, Common Source has been involved in activating a broad range of partners and networks from different sectors, with the common goal of creating a robust, regional and regenerative food system in the AMA. Through the COMMONSource framework and as Living Lab manager, Common Source aims to further bring the partners and other living labs in co-creation, to foster a multi-level learning approach between living labs and regions across Europe.
The Dutch Living Lab also aims to facilitate collaborations between running EU projects and networks in the area, efficiently building a learning ecosystem for a just transition towards regional, regenerative food systems. The Dutch Living Lab is aligned with other regional, interregional and international projects, networks and institutes such as FoodCLIC, CLEVERFOOD, COREnet, CULTIVATE, EUROCITIES, Utrecht University, University of Copenhagen, VU Amsterdam Athena Institute, VIV Worldwide, Cities Leading Food Production, Ecosystem Restoration Communities, Bionutrient Food Association, PASGR, Goumbook and EARA.
